For a new FloKit-managed launch, use a client-owned ad account dedicated to FloKit-managed campaigns. The customer owns the Meta Business Portfolio, billing method, account spending limit, Page, Instagram identity, and Dataset. FloKit operates only the assets shared for the agreed App. This account boundary keeps FloKit work separate from the customer’s existing campaigns and primary ad account.

Before the working session

Have a Meta Business administrator available and confirm:
  • the App name used for the account;
  • the final ad-account currency and timezone;
  • the Meta payment method;
  • the initial account spending limit and daily campaign cap;
  • the Facebook Page used as the ad identity;
  • whether Facebook, Instagram, or both will be used;
  • the linked Instagram Professional account when Instagram is included; and
  • the website Dataset or Pixel used for landing-page and checkout signals.

Create the dedicated ad account

1

Open the customer's Meta Business Portfolio

In Meta Business Settings, select the Business Portfolio that owns the App’s advertising assets.
2

Create the ad account

Create a new client-owned ad account using a clear name such as:
Choose the final currency and timezone carefully. Add a customer administrator with full control.
3

Add billing controls

Add the customer’s payment method and set an account spending limit that matches the approved launch boundary.Keep the account free of unrelated campaigns so FloKit can manage and report on the full account without touching the customer’s existing activity.
4

Confirm the advertising identities

Confirm the exact Facebook Page. If Instagram delivery is required, confirm that the Instagram account is Professional and linked to that Page.
5

Confirm the Dataset or Pixel

Select the website Dataset used for the FloKit Flow. Connect it to the dedicated ad account if it is not already connected.
6

Share the exact assets with FloKit

Add FloKit as a partner using the Business Portfolio ID shown in the FloKit setup screen. Share only:
  • the dedicated ad account;
  • the selected Facebook Page;
  • the linked Instagram account when used; and
  • the selected Dataset or Pixel.
Grant the advertiser and asset-management permissions required for FloKit to create, read, update, pause, and activate the approved campaign objects.
7

Let FloKit complete the connection

FloKit creates or selects the production system user, generates the Meta credential, validates the shared assets, and selects the delivery channels in the dashboard.Continue with Connect Meta Ads with a system user.

What FloKit controls in this account

Within the dedicated account, FloKit may prepare and operate the approved:
  • campaigns;
  • ad sets and audiences;
  • ads and creatives;
  • budgets and daily caps; and
  • pause, resume, and activation actions.
Campaign, Ad Set, Creative, and Ad objects are prepared paused. Activation is a separate approved action.

What remains with the customer

The customer retains:
  • ownership of the Business Portfolio and ad account;
  • the payment method and account spending limit;
  • ownership of the Page, Instagram account, and Dataset;
  • responsibility for Meta account reviews and business verification; and
  • the ability to revoke FloKit’s partner access.

Next step

After the ad account and identities are connected, configure the website signal path in Meta Pixel and Conversions API setup.
